The brand was founded in New York in 2004 by Sam Nieves Vélez and Sharon Lavi.

Designed in a West Village studio in New York City, NIEVES LAVI focuses on wearable silhouettes, original prints, and natural fabrics such as silk, linen, and cotton. The collections are produced in limited quantities with attention to comfort, versatility, and timeless wear.

The assortment includes dresses, kaftans, separates, sandals, and accessories designed to work together as a cohesive wardrobe.
