Founded in 2004 by Sam Nieves Vélez and Sharon Lavi in New York City, Nieves Lavi embodies a philosophy of attainable luxury, enduring style, and meticulous craftsmanship. The brand quickly caught the attention of fashion insiders and has been carried by distinguished retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Fenwick, Nordstrom, Intermix, Anthropologie, and NET-A-PORTER.

Today, exclusively online, Nieves Lavi presents a thoughtfully curated selection of artisanal, sustainably crafted pieces designed for the adventurous, modern woman. Each collection is conceived in-house at the West Village studio, featuring original prints, intricate hand-embroidered details, and eco-conscious natural fibers such as silk and cotton.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER:

Sharon Lavi is the Co-Founder and Art Director of Nieves Lavi New York, the women-led resort lifestyle brand she launched in 2004 with partner Sam Nieves Velez.

A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Lavi brings a background in luxury womenswear from her time at Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang, experience that helped shape the vision that would become Nieves Lavi New York.

The brand’ silk printed dresses and easy silhouettes quickly found a global audience, selling in stores worldwide, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys Japan and Bergdorf Goodman, to name a few.

A New Yorker for 35 years, Lavi directs the creative vision of the label from her West Village studio. Drawing inspiration from travel, art, nature, and global culture, she fuses timeless craftsmanship with forward-looking ideas to infuse modern women’s lives with ease, beauty, and individuality.

She lives and works in New York City with her family and their dog.
